1. "Thank you for coming to my wedding, mommy!"
"Well, Chase, who did you marry?"
" I don't know"
2. When Leigh was in town last weekend we found Chase upstairs lining up the benadryl pills in the medicine cabinet.
"Chase, what are you doing?"
"Making a train, mommy"
"Oh, of course..., a train... what was I thinking?"
3. "Dadddy, do you have poo-poo?" (no, daddy just had a little bit of gas!)
4. "Chase, do you know where my phone is?
4. "Chase, do you know where my phone is?
"Girl, I don't know where your phone is, girl!"
5. Chase talking to Ellison...
5. Chase talking to Ellison...
"little girl, you may not play with my game b/c it is my game, little girl!"
this last quote is from my funny friend, Lindsay. Can anyone else relate? I totally can!.....
"keller is actually (call the press) reading to himself in the den
i am scared to leave the bonus room bc i dont want to remind him that he is by himself...anyways
since i am bonus room bound, thought i'd drop you a good morning note./....
alas, i hear a young boy a' callin'............"
fyi
Just a little FYI.....To my friends who think that it takes me a long time to pick out my clothes in the morning.. you are wrong. I have completely changed in that aspect too since I have had kids. In fact, I have not even had a light in my closet for 6 months now. I have to use a flashlight to find my clothes in the morning. No, let me take that back... CHASE has to use a flashlight to find my clothes. Every morning I let him shine the flashlight on my clothes & pick out what he wants me to wear. The only problem with this is that we are pretty sure that Chase is colorblind... well, you get the picture.. I am not always looking my best these days!

mary
Ever since Christmas, Chase has had this small obsession with Mary, mother of Jesus. He puts his blue blankie over his head & says "mom, I am Mary, Jesus's mommy!" (check out the picture above to get a full visual). Not only does he like to be Mary but he likes for you to play Mary - "mom, YOU be Mary!"
"OK, Chase, I will be Mary."
As soon as you put the blanket over your head to play Mary he cries & says "pick up baby Jesus, mom!" You have to pick up baby Jesus & hold him or he will whine until you do. It is not exactly the most fun game that we play but it does keep him occupied & right now that is all that we care about.

small miracles
I have come to rely on what I call "small miracles" in my life. These are things that in the past I would never even thought to pray about but are now part of my daily prayer life. For example, a small miracle might be...
1. actually walking through the doors of Forest Hill playschool on time - No, how about just "actually walking through the doors of Forest Hill playschool - period."
2. shaving my legs - this morning I experienced this small miracle. I actually shaved my legs for the third time since I started my blog on January 30th (but who is counting, right?).
3. a small miracle would be Chase calmly leaving Charlotte at Play without throwing a tantrum right in front of all of the othe moms & their well-behaved children that quietly leave the museum when they are told it is time to go home. (We have yet to experience this small miracle - still one we are praying about).
4. getting through the grocery store without Chase running away from me & having the stock workers laugh at me chase him through the store. Why don't they help catch him anyways?
